This marvelous 250 room house is just a 2 block drive from the hotel.  Tickets for daytime tours of the Estate may be purchased at the front desk, and used at any point during your stay.

This eclectic grouping of little shops is just 2 blocks from the hotel, and is easily walked to in good weather. The shops are open daily until around 5:30, and are full of local crafts and antiques.

For mountain views and beautiful photo opportunities, the Blue Ridge Parkway is the best place to be.  Located just down the road from the hotel; with its views of the valleys, rivers, and spectacular rock formations, it is definitely not to be missed on a trip to Asheville.

Noted as Asheville's favorite son, his mother's boardinghouse still stands in the center of town, just 2 short miles away.  His book Look Homeward Angel, among his most famous works, was written about Asheville.  Tours of the house are available for a reasonable fee.
