Flat Rock Music Festival

Dates: September 23-25, Gates open Friday at noon, first musicians start playing at 4:00 p.m.

Where: Camp Ton-A-Wandah near Flat Rock, N. C.

DIRECTIONS: To get there by car, traveling on 1-26 East (from Asheville) or I-26 West (from Spartanburg and Greenville, SC), take Exit 22 (Upward Road). Follow the landmark signs to the Carl Sandburg Estate and Flat Rock Playhouse. You will pass through one traffic light on Highway 176. Upward Road becomes Highland Lake Road at this point. Stay on Highland Lake Road until it dead-ends at Highway 25/Greenville Highway. Turn left onto Highway 25 and proceed for eight-tenths of a mile to Little River Road. Turn right onto Little River Road and continue two and two- tenths miles to Lake Falls Road. Turn left here and proceed four-tenths of a mile to the camp. The entrance is on the right.

To reach the festival by air, take Delta and US Air service to the Asheville airport, which is just off I-26. Then follow car directions above. Or take Delta, Continental, TWA, Northwest, United, US Air or American Eagle service to the Greenville airport, and take I-85 North to I-26 West. Then follow car directions above.
