Sara Gruen at Malaprop’s on March 31st

A longtime staff favorite and the author of the bestselling novel Water for Elephants, Sara Gruen returns with a new novel set in WWII-era Scotland.

At the Water’s Edge follows Madeline “Maddie” Hyde, a young American socialite, who makes many discoveries while looking for the Loch Ness monster in Scotland—most of all about herself. Jodi Picoult (Leaving Time) says, “Unique in its setting and scope, this impeccably researched historical fiction is full of the gorgeous prose I’ve come to expect from this author. And even after finishing, its message still resonates with me: the monsters we seek may be right in front of us.”

Tickers are $15 each and come with a coupon for $10 off a copy of At the Water’s Edge. Tickets are required to attend this March 31st event.
