Exquisite New Custom Cabinetry at Biltmore

In a recent blog post, Matt Eddy, CEO of Habersham, discusses Habersham’s new Biltmore Custom Built-In Cabinetry program.

“We’re entering our 11th year of a successful licensing partnership with Biltmore, and we’re excited about this program,” said Matt. “It brings our custom capabilities together with the unlimited design inspiration of Biltmore. As a result, designers and their clients will be able to choose from a number of styles and countless finish options–all designed to bring Biltmore’s timeless elegance to any space in the client’s home.”

Inspired by original designs
According to Matt, Habersham’s custom kitchen cabinetry designs were inspired by elements from the recently restored Louis XV Room in Biltmore House and the estate’s grand kitchens, all originally designed by Biltmore architect Richard Morris Hunt. In particular, the rococo styling of an armoire in the Louis XV Room captured the imagination of Habersham artisans who wanted to bring the ornate details to life in a way would appeal to modern consumers.

Bringing the outdoors inside

“And it’s not just architecture of the estate that inspires us,” Matt said. Habersham designers were equally amazed by the winding curves of the Approach Road leading to Biltmore House. As the landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted’s vision creates a lasting sense of anticipation to see the Vanderbilts’ magnificent home dramatically revealed. Drawing on that sense of wonder inspired by guests seeing Biltmore for the first time, Habersham designed the Biltmore Grand Entry—an exceptional custom piece that elevates any room into a signature statement and sets the tone for what lies beyond.

“Like all our work with Biltmore, these distinctive custom cabinetry examples are available in a variety of hand-finished styles to complement your style and your home,” said Matt.
