Concerts on the Quad at UNC Asheville Concludes on July 13th

UNC Asheville’s Concerts on the Quad series will conclude with the popular bluegrass band Chatham County Line at 7:00 pm on Monday, July 13th.

The Raleigh-based four-piece string band has toured extensively in the United States and Europe, and is known for combining traditional bluegrass instrumentation with contemporary, rock-influenced songwriting. “This music isn’t a product of its era,” writes Joe Tangari of Pitchfork, “but nor is it married to a bygone one. It’s essentially timeless….”

Chatham County Line has earned accolades for its inventive take on bluegrass music, and has become popular in Europe and especially Norway, where they were nominated for a Spellemann Award (often dubbed the Norwegian Grammy Award) for their collaboration with singer/songwriter Jonas Fjeld. They recently released their sixth studio album, Tightrope.
