105.9 the Mountain is getting even bigger on the pig with the 3rd annual BaconFest on Saturday, August 29th at Highland Brewing Company’s Outdoor Meadow.
BaconFest is a ticketed culinary competition qhih celebrates all things bacon and area restaurants bring smaples of bacon infused gelato and caramel corn to the area’s best BBQ and savory bacon creations.
This swine soirée is sure to please bacon, beer and BBQ aficionados alike. General admission entry begins at 1:00 pm and the event will end at 4:00 pm.
This family friendly event is ticketed and you will be able to sample incredible dishes from some of Asheville’s best restaurants and cast your vote for TOP HOG in categories like Best Overall Dish, Most Outrageous Dish, Best BBQ and Best Sweet Swine.
General Admission tickets are $15, children 9 and under enter for free, and a VIP ticket package is available for $35 per person.
Enjoy music from Bayou Diesel, plus all of the BaconFest Asheville patrons age 21 and up can purchase incredible craft beer from Highland Brewing Company. In addition to the lineup of classic and seasonal Highland brews, 3 specialty casks will be tapped made especially for BaconFest Asheville:
– Cask of Gaelic Ale with Brown Sugar and Black Pepper
– Cask of Black Mocha Stout with Maple
– Cask of Oatmeal Porter with Cayenne Pepper
BaconFest ticket holders will be able to check-in on Friday, August 28th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Highland Brewing Company. Please bring your ticket and your ID. You will get your wristband on Friday to help streamline the line on Saturday. Please note, this is a new feature created for the convenience of our ticket holders. If you check-in on Friday and your wristband is tampered with, damaged or removed for ANY reason, you will not be able to get in on Saturday.
Carpooling is HIGHLY encouraged – a free shuttle for BaconFest ticket holders from the Bi-Lo parking lot for overflow parking. VIP ticket holders can park at Highland Brewing before 1:00 pm.
