2016 Biltmore/Kiwanis 15k & 5k Classic Races

Runners mark your calendars for May 15th for the 19th Annual Biltmore/Kiwanis 15K/5K Classic Races.

Both races are run entirely on the scenic grounds of the Biltmore Estate. During the event, vehicular traffic will be limited and controlled. Both courses are USATF certified.

Chip timing will be used for both races. Pre-race training prior to the event is prohibited since the entire course is on paved roads with heavy vehicular traffic and on the private property of the Biltmore Estate. Due to directional flow for traffic, it will not be possible to drive the course as it is to be run. All participants must be off the course prior to 9:45 a.m.

15K COURSE: The 15K course is run entirely on the scenic grounds of the Biltmore Estate. Beginning at the Winery Village area, the course climbs to the Deerpark Restaurant then descends and climbs along the main road to Biltmore House, where runners will loop in front of its massive front doors. Runners will then circle through the Walled Garden, pass by the Azalea Garden and lagoon along the French Broad River, and finish by returning to the Winery. The first half of the course has two challenging hills, while the second half is downhill-to-flat.

5K COURSE: The 5K course is run entirely on the scenic grounds of the Biltmore Estate. The 5K Course is a flat, out-and-back course starting at the Winery and paralleling the French Broad River. It is a great course to get a running PR!
