Flat Rock Playhouse Presents Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5

Based on the hit 1978 movie, 9 to 5 is the story of three secretaries who devise a plan to overthrow their sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot boss.

The cast for 9 to 5 will be Flat Rock Playhouse favorite Marcy McGuigan as Violet Newstead, the role originated by Lily Tomlin. Ryah Nixon, fresh off her triumphant performance as Dyanne in the Flat Rock Playhouse sold out hit production of Million Dollar Quartet, stars as Doralee Rhodes, the role originated by Dolly Parton herself. Newcomer to the Flat Rock Playhouse stage is Natalie Storrs, who will play the role of Judy Bernly, originated by Jane Fonda for the film.

Also featured in the cast is Patrick Ryan Sullivan as “the boss” Franklin Hart, Tauren Hagans as his devoted, albeit fanatical, secretary Roz Keith and Ruth Pferdehirt as his loyal, loving and clueless wife, Missy. The rest of the cast will feature Monte J. Howell, Ryan Guerra, Erin Rubico, David Lind, Amy Jones and Scott Treadway. The ensemble will be comprised of members of the 2016 Apprentice Company.
