Motorcycle Hot Bike Tour Selects Asheville for Pit Stop

The pages of Hot Bike magazine are set to come to life on the streets of Asheville on Sept. 7th when the national motorcycle enthusiast brand stops in the city as part of the GEICO Motorcycle Hot Bike Tour.

The tour is a five day, five city, 1,000-mile journey from Sept. 7-11.

The national media brand awards five cities each year to create a unique rider experience showcasing great motorcycle cities across the United States. Asheville and Maggie Valley was selected to host the Hot Bike Tour because, in addition to boasting a large contingent of motorcycle owners and enthusiasts, the towns are ideal leisure destination with a rich history, close proximity to the Blue Ridge Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains and will offer great experiences for the tour riders.

Hot Bike will also announce features and plans for the tour stop and this national event’s economic impact on the region. Giveaways and discussions with local motorcycle groups will also take place on how riders can get involved in the national tour.

The 2016 tour will begin on Sept. 7 in Asheville, N.C., then wind its way to Maggie Valley, N.C.; Knoxville and Cookeville, Tenn.; and end with a grand finale stop in Chattanooga, Tenn. Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts are expected to converge during each stop for a special night of entertainment and displays.
