Asheville Mayor to Give State of the City Address on Oct. 4th

Asheville Mayor Esther Manheimer will give a State of the City address at 12:00 pm on Oct. 4th in the U.S. Cellular Center Banquet Hall.

Mayor Manheimer’s speech will focus on Asheville’s progress in the past year along with the proposed bond referendum and priorities for the future. Mayor Manheimer was elected to the Asheville City Council in 2009 and was elected Mayor in 2013. Previously, she was a lawyer with for the North Carolina General Assembly, where she served as counsel to various legislative committees. She also served on special legislative committees concerned with utility deregulation and legislative redistricting.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and the program will begin at noon. A light lunch will be provided.
