Participate in Survey About City of Asheville’s Food Action Plan

City of Asheville staff and elected leaders believe that all residents should have access to healthy, nutritious food and the ability to cultivate, harvest, process, sell, share and trade food.

To create a more sustainable community food system City Council adopted Resolution 13-17, which establishes the City of Asheville’s Food Action Plan in support of the Asheville Buncombe Food Policy Agenda.

The Asheville Buncombe Food Policy Council, in partnership with community members and the City of Asheville, is initiating a process to revise the City’s Food Action Plan. Their first step is to collect your ideas about food system priorities and barriers as well as to begin to evaluate specific initiatives in the current Food Action Plan.

Below is a message from the Asheville Buncombe Food Policy Council with a link to the Food Action Plan Input Survey. These survey results will help to determine the priorities and actions of the City of Asheville’s work around food security in our community. The survey takes some time to complete, but your input is very valuable and a way to really be heard in this work.
