Diana Wortham Theatre Presents The Blackpack: All Laughs Matter

Who knew that chipping away at the walls of racial and social stereotypes could be so much fun? Diana Wortham Theatre presents this terrific night of comedy on March 31st.

All-star headliners Vince Morris, Billy D. Washington, and BT take a good-natured, often brutally honest look at our national spectrum via their singular (albeit different) points of view. Regardless of our political proclivities and pre-conceived notions about race and class, humor is a great tool for deepening our understanding and respect for others, thus the show name: All Laughs Matter. Adding to the fun is a Q&A portion of the show, “Everything you ever wanted to ask a black man but were afraid to ask.” Simultaneously hilarious and thought provoking, The Blackpack celebrates our differences, one joke at a time. Enhance your experience: A discussion with the performers will be held in conjunction with these performances.

Meet the members of The Blackpack, with special guest John Boyle, Asheville Citizen-Times reporter and columnist, and learn firsthand how comedians can transform current events into an evening of laughter. This pre-performance discussion is scheduled for 5:00 pm at The Block Off Biltmore at 39 South Market Street prior to the 8:00 pm performance. Free to ticket holders.
