WLOS Holds Break the Hunger Food Drive

Each summer, thousands of local children experience higher rates of food insecurity because they are no longer receiving free and reduced breakfast and lunch from their school.

“We at Children First/Communities in Schools see an increased demand for family food boxes during the summer months, and in response to this higher demand, we are fortunate to be the beneficiaries of the Break the Hunger food drive.”

So join us in the parking lot of Carolina Furniture Concepts on Friday, June 9th from 5:00 AM-7:00 PM and bring non-perishible food items to help stock our food pantry through the summer months.
