UNC Asheville Will Offer Tours on Demand With Spanish-language Option

UNC Asheville’s Office of Admissions and Financial Aid now offers campus tours on demand each weekday, with personalized meetings with admissions counselors and student ambassadors.

Tours in Spanish will be available at 9 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesday and at 2 p.m. on Fridays.

“As a public liberal arts university, we prioritize close-knit relationships with our students, and we want to start their time on campus with that same personalization and opportunity for conversation. During the tours, we’ll tailor information to fit the needs of prospective students and their families, which is what they’ll find throughout the UNC Asheville experience,” said Senior Director of Admissions and Financial Aid Steve McKellips.

Tour reservations can be made online at admissions.unca.edu. Students and their families are encouraged to register in advance.

In addition to daily tours on demand, UNC Asheville hosts open houses throughout the year, with the next events scheduled for Oct. 14 and Nov. 11, 2017. These open houses provide a chance to meet students and faculty, discuss housing and financial aid, and they take place in advance of the early action admissions deadline of Nov. 15, which is also the deadline for priority consideration for Laurels and Pisgah Scholarships. The UNC Asheville application for fall 2018 admission is available now at admissions.unca.edu.

Classroom and professor visits also are available. And to get a taste of life on campus, students who have completed their application for admission may request an overnight visit in one of UNC Asheville’s residence halls – these visits are available during February, March, and April.
