Asheville Lyric Opera Introduces The Metropolitan Opera HD Opera Broadcasts in December


The Asheville Lyric Opera (official partner) is pleased to introduce The Metropolitan Opera HD Opera Broadcasts, starting this December, in Asheville at the Regal-Hollywood Cinemas, located on Hendersonville Rd.

Join fans at Amici Trattoria each Saturday (11AM) before the live broadcast for an opera-themed brunch and lecture. Lectures are $28 per-person; call the opera office for reservations. Tickets ($22 per ticket) are available now for all Met broadcasts for only ALO angel donors ($300+) through the the Asheville Lyric Opera; only 50 tickets for each broadcast will be available through this partner program. If you would like to become an angel donor and puchase tickets, please call the opera office or the Regal-Hollywood Theatre for general public tickets - 828-274-8811. Metropolitan Opera patrons can be purchased through their website: www.metopera.org.

The ALO provides opera education to families and students through establishing endowments to secure the financial future of the Asheville Lyric Opera. ALO’s educational outreach program including opera tours, school residence programs, and performance demonstrations in area schools, colleges, and adult communities. These programs are presented by a cast of regional operatic professionals that come to Asheville and gladly present their talent and love of opera to this community.
