FENCE Hosts 2010 Horse Trials & Training Three Day This Weekend

Training three day to be held at FENCE on April 2-4, 2010. The entire weekend will be filled with fun, educational clinics open to all the T3D and Horse Trial competitors. Volunteers will also be needed for the event.

FENCE has grown to 384 acres straddling the border between western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina through private donations and land. The Equestrian Center comprises ten barns with 302 permanent stalls, four outside rings, one covered arena, a cross-country course recently redesigned by Captain Mark Phillips, and a seven-furlong steeplechase course. Six miles of trails through the property are shared by riders and hikers.

Beyond the equine events that attract professional and amateur riders, drivers and spectators, FENCE offers a variety of nature education courses for adults and children as well as outdoor activities for the nature enthusiast. The FENCE calendar of events features gardening, astronomy, birding, nature & science education for K4-12th graders and summer camp programs.

With these facilities and the surrounding community, FENCE was the perfect setting to host a training three day.

Founded in 1984 FENCE (the Foothills Equestrian Nature Center, Inc.) is currently the only nature education and outdoor recreation center in the country that operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
