The Supporting Players guild of Flat Rock Playhouse is hosting a fashion show and seated luncheon to benefit the State Theatre. The Passion for Fashion event is scheduled for March 17 at 11:30 am at Kenmure Country Club.Passion for Fashion features spring styles for ladies, men and children with clothing provided by Chico’s of Biltmore Village, Mast General Store of Hendersonville, and The Wrinkled Egg & Chicken Little of Flat Rock. Chico’s is known for great style and one-of-a-kind details including chic prints, artisan jackets and the wrinkle-free traveler’s collection. Chico’s General Manager Karolyn Killian comments, "I am thrilled to be part of a fundraiser that supports our community through such a worthy endeavor as Flat Rock Playhouse. We look forward to showcasing our "Beyond Fabulous" spring collection and introducing the community to our certified "Style Experts." Mast General Store will supply men’s furnishings and showcase active and outdoors wear along with the traditional quality Mast shoppers have come to expect. Several young folks will take to the runway in stylish play and dress clothes from Chicken Little. Guests of the fashion show will also receive a special discount for purchases at some of the stores. Kenmure Country Club is the host location and the luncheon is sure to please with a special menu designed by Chef Lee. In 2009, sitting Supporting Players guild president, Ann Lazarus created the fashion show as a membership awareness campaign and fundraiser. The event was such a success that Judy Standish, also a former guild president, took the reins to coordinate the 2010 Passion for Fashion. “The Playhouse is more than lucky to have a very supportive business community that helps us in so many ways. As for our Supporting Players guild, they never cease to amaze me with their can-do attitude, enthusiasm and generosity,” says, Dale Bartlett, FRP’s General Manager. “They work very hard for us, but have a great time along the way. Their biggest contribution is the annual Dark Night Revue, scheduled this year for July 26.
