Local musician Bill Gerhardt will rejoin vocalist Sharon LaMotte every Monday for perofmances at the Cafe on the Square "Jazz in the Window". After a traumatic illness and two week hospital stay in January, Bill is anxious to get back to playing. The idea that "music is healing" applies directly to Gerhardt at this point. He feels he needs to play to further his recovery although he will start back slowly and may not be able to work full time for a longer period. There has been a trust fund set up to help Bill with living expenses: All of the money that is donated towards this fund can be used for necessities such as food, housing, clothes, and general living expenses. Join fans and music lovers at the Cafe on the Square on Mondays from 7:00pm until 9:00 pm. Call 828-251-5565 for dinner reservations or just walk in and sit in the bar area. There is no smoking and no cover. Bill Gerhardt's latest Steeplechase Records Release, "Stained Glass", will be available for purchase at the performances, and Tony Moreno's Art of Life Release, "Trio Music". CDs are $15 each.
