The WNC Farmers Market is a popular destination no matter the season, but the annual Spring Herb Festival gives all gardening enthusiasts a very good reason to stop by and see what is available this spring. The festival, scheduled for Friday through Sunday, May 2 through May 4, expects some 20,000 herb-loving people to sample and sort through the wide variety of products that are offered.
The festival, the largest herb festival in the Southeast, features primarily local vendors of medicinal plants and herbs, teas, dried flowers, herbal baked goods, lotions, essential oils, and plants for cooking. More than 55 herb businesses from North Carolina and Southeast with the largest selection of herb plants anywhere, herbs, books, soaps, herbal crafts, medicinal herbs, lotions, dried flowers, herbal baked goods, herbal gifts and much more.
Hours for the festival are 9 AM to 5 PM on Friday and Saturday, 10 AM – 3 PM on Sunday. Admission is free.
The WNC Farmers Market is located in asheville on Hwy. 191. It can be reached easily from either I-26 or I-40.
