Lots of terrific food and a wide variety of country music will be on hand when Ingles Markets present their Food Show 2001 at the Asheville Civic Center from October 4 through October 7.
The Southern Living Cooking School, a popular "sideshow" at the Food Show for many years now, will be in town on Thursday, October 4, only. Lots of cooking tips, recipes, and entertainment ideas will be available to attendees. The cooking school will be held in Thomas Wolfe Auditorium for two shows, 10AM and 7PM. Tickets are available only through the Civic Center box office and are $4.00 each. Tickets for the Ingles Food Show 2001 are available in advance at any Ingles Market. Tickets for October 5 are $4.95 for Session 1 (10AM-3:30PM), and $5.95 for Session 2 (6-9PM). Saturday tickets for Session 1 are $6.95, and $8.95 for Session 2. Sunday will have one session only (Noon-5PM), and tickets are $8.95 each.

While the food tables and displays are the main reasons for the event, the music line-up is equally enticing. On Friday, October 5, Stella Parton will perform at 12Noon. Also on Friday, Sara Evans will take the stage at 9PM. Diamond Rio will be on hand on Saturday, October 6, for two shows, at 3:30PM and again at 9PM. Then on Sunday, October 7, Lonestar will light up the stage for one show only at 5PM.
