Our Discovery Camp programs are based on the overall philosophy that young people benefit from experiences in the outdoors. It is our mission of our dedicated and experienced staff to cultivate a sense of adventure and wonder in the outdoors, foster an enthusiasm for exploration in the natural world, and promote environmental awareness, stewardship and conservation. This will be the seventh year of summer day camp at the Arboretum. Since our first year our program offerings have grown as well as our reputation for providing a safe, fun, high quality, memorable experience. We look forward to seeing you for another exciting year of discovery! The facilities, exhibits, education programs, and economic strategies crafted during the nearly 25 years since the Arboretum's inception have served as a model for excellence in institutional outreach that result in positive educational and economic outcomes. As an affiliate of The University of North Carolina, The North Carolina Arboretum has developed targeted partnerships that work to address the UNC Tomorrow Plan:
