A Confluence of Remarkable Women at Pack Library
March 29

Celebrate Women's History Month at Pack Library on Saturday, March 29 at 2:30pm as Dr. Gwen McNeill Ashburn, Chair of UNC-A’s Literature and Language Department, highlights the achievements of the women of Asheville who helped form our region into the distinctive Southern Highlands community it is today. These women, instrumental in this area’s history, often remain anonymous, their stories unknown. Dr. Ashburn brings their stories to light in her program, “A Confluence of Remarkable Women.” Womansong will open the program with a performance. This free event is made possible by a grant from the North Carolina Humanities Council Road Scholar Speaker's Bureau and the Friends of Pack Memorial Library.
