RiverLink Offering Free Trees to Volunteers, Members

RiverLink has received a load of trees from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and wanted to offer these free trees to our RiverLink volunteers and members. The organization is looking for folks that want to plant these along stream banks, and who can install them very soon.

They are bare root trees including Buttonbush, Red Osier Dogwood, Silky Dogwood, Riverbirch, Red Bud, Persimmon, Willow Oak, Sycamore, Black Locust. If you are interested in receiving free trees, please email Hartwell Carson at riverkeeper@riverlink.org to coordinate a time to pick up the trees and planting guide from the RiverLink office. The office is located at 170 Lyman St. 28801, near the corner of Lyman and Riverside in the River district.

RiverLink is a regional organization spearheading the economic and environmental revitalization of the French Broad River watershed as a destination where everyone can work, live and play. For more information about RiverLink, please visit website at ww.riverlink.org or call 828-252-8474.
