Smith-McDowell House Museum Seeks Volunteers


Smith-McDowell House Museum is seeking volunteers. Interested community members of all ages and backgrounds who are interested in history, marketing, and working with the public should contact the museum . Volunteers are needed for both weekdays and weekends. Interested community members can learn about volunteer opportunities at the Museum, including special events such as the Museum’s acclaimed Victorian Christmas Celebration. There is no minimum time requirement for volunteering, but the Museum requests that volunteers give advanced notice for times they plan to come in to help.

Smith-McDowell House Museum is a resorted circa 1840s mansion and history museum. Admission to the Museum includes admission to the exhibit which is featured throughout the Museum. The Museum is located at 283 Victoria Road on the campus of A-B Tech Community College in Asheville. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for students, $3 for children ages 5 to 18.
