Asheville Vaudeville, the debut production of the Scapegoat Theatre Collective, will perform Friday and Saturday, August 26 and 27, at two downtown locations. The company will perform an outdoor variety act that is free, open to the public, and suitable for all ages.
Short plays will be performed with music, magic, and other eclectic acts in between. The variety show is a collaboration of the rich creativity of some of Asheville’s writers, directors, and performers. The performances will be held on Friday, August 26, at 7 PM, and Saturday, August 27, at 2 PM, in Pritchard Park. There will also be a performance on Saturday evening, August 27, at 7 PM, in the New French Bar Courtyard on Biltmore Avenue. Pritchard Park and the New French Bar Courtyard are ideal venues for this outdoor presentation. The park is frequently the scene of impromptu music and dance performances as well as being the home to the popular and seasonal downtown silent movie series. The New French Bar Courtyard also provides live entertainment on a regular basis. Asheville Vaudeville! is dedicated to the contribution of exciting and accessible theatre.
