Volvo Construction Equipment Rents, Inc., based in Asheville, North Carolina, has announced the opening of two new independently owned Volvo Rents equipment rental centers in Florida and New Jersey. Contractor Equipment Rentals, Inc., Orlando, Florida, has opened its third Volvo Rents center in Florida at 950 West Memorial Blvd., in Lakeland. Contractor Equipment Rentals, owned by Gary Tripp, has Volvo Rents rental centers in Orlando and Melbourne. Access Rentals, LLC, owned by Ron Galen, has opened its first Volvo Rents center in Harrison, New Jersey, at 39 Harrison Avenue. The new Volvo Rents franchise will serve the Newark metropolitan area.
The new Volvo Rents centers will carry, in addition to Volvo construction equipment, a comprehensive line of essential equipment and tools for the construction, commercial, industrial, and homeowner markets. Each rental center is an independently owned and operated Volvo Construction Equipment Rents franchise within the Volvo Construction Equipment rental program.
Principal Volvo products for its rental centers include its comprehensive line of compact excavators and wheel loaders and the company’s new backhoe and skid steer loaders.

Volvo Construction Equipment Rents, Inc., which began its franchise rental program in 2001, now has 33 rental centers open in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, South Carolina, California, Tennessee, Ohio, Louisiana, New York, Minnesota, Arkansas, and New Jersey. In addition to the franchises now in operation, the company has 34 franchise development agreements under consideration and in negotiations with parties seeking an independently owned and operated franchise opportunity in the equipment rental industry. Volvo Rents recently completed franchise agreements with two companies in Ireland; other Volvo Rents franchises are now in operation in Europe and development agreements are being negotiated for 18 centers in Spain.
