MAGIC Community Gardens is a cooperative effort of many local folk to strengthen the community through gardening. Non-profit with goals of alleviating malnutrition and hunger through increased food availability, nurturing environmental stewardship, building self-esteem and creating community through cooperative garden efforts and environmental education. North Carolina Botanical Gardens Opened to the public in 1966, the 80-acre Piedmont Nature Trails provide over two miles of hiking trails through piedmont woodland. The North Carolina Arboretum has beautiful public gardens, hiking and biking trails, a state-of-the-art greenhouse facility and educational activities for all ages. | ||
