The Movers and Shakers Summer Camp promotes the same values that are the cornerstone of Asheville Community Movement: teaching kids to be independent and conscientious community members within a fun and safe environment. We try to nurture the individual passions of our campers by devoting each week to themes that foster community spirit and sustainable living.

Timberlake offers traditional camping with an outstanding Christian staff. riding, backpacking, tennis, climbing, wrestling, paintball, archery, waterskiing, riflery, mountain biking, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, guitar, soccer, volleyball, ropes course, fencing, rafting, and much more are available. Timberlake is the brother camp to Merri-Mac for Girls.
Asheville Racquet Club, on Hendersonville Road, offers one week camp sessions from June through August. They offer summer camps at both locations of the Asheville Racquet Club. Choose from tennis camps, soccer camps, junior varsity sports Camp, varsity sports camp, ARC adventure camp .
Carolina Day School offers over eighty different week-long sessions in arts, nature, hiking, sports, academics, science, theater, dance, and more! Ages: rising pre-k through twelfth-graders.
Each week offers campers a different theme such as Superheroes for the 3-5 year olds to Broadway Bound for the 6-9 year olds. Campers will work through the week to create an informal performance to be shared with family and friends on Friday. Complimentary camp photos that capture the week of learning and fun will also be provided. All four themed ½ day camps put an emphasis on creative movement and dance and music. 9am to 12pm M-F. $125 per week.

Asheville Creative Arts, known for producing innovative theatre for audiences of all ages, presents a one-week theatre camp to provide students experience in a variety of theatre arts. Students will learn acting, creative drama, writing & puppetry adapting a folktale to present on the final day. With daily master lessons by local artists in music, improvisation or movement. Camp will be held at Hanger Hall and runs from 9am-5pm; early drop-off/late pick-up available. Cost is $275. Scholarship info available by request.

Camp Ruach (that means “spirit”) welcomes all rising 1st-8th graders for a traditional day camp experience focused on building lifelong friendships and enjoying a summer full of fun. Each two-week session is built upon teaching important values through exciting activities, including sports, cooking, crafts, archery, nature expeditions, gardening, overnights, dance, music, swimming with WSI certified swim instructors, and much more.

LEAF Summer Camp welcomes all rising first through fifth graders for a week full of daytime adventures through creative and performing arts!
