The AVMRC has two free open house’s every week that have been enjoyed by grandparents and grandchildren, as well as kids of all ages for over 2 decades. We offer two operating model RR’s with our inside HO scale layout having 2,000 feet of track. Our new outside layout is a larger G scale. Kids can run a Thomas or Emily train while there. Additionally, we have many historic pictures and items about railroads on display. Admission is free!
Appalachian Trail Conference maintains the 2,160-mile Appalachian Trail footpath and helps manage the lands that protect it.
Asheville Bicycle Racing Club is a competitive biking club open to men and women of all ages,offering weekly rides and training.

Fox Mountain Guides and Climbing School is the south’s only AMGA Accredited Guide Service. They offer rock climbing, ice climbing guiding and rock climbing courses across North Carolina. A great and exciting way to see the Mountains! FMG also offers a teen adventure summer camps June through August. We only use American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) trained and certified Instructors and Guides. No other guide service in the Southeastern USA upholds this incredibly high standard. Most people still call it Frisbee, but the Warren Wilson Ultimate Team takes the sport to a new level by competing in competitions across the country. Ultimate Frisbee combines elements of soccer, football and basketball in a fast-paced game, played with a Frisbee, where everyone is a quarterback and everyone is a receiver.
Founded in 1994, this club has grown to over 100 members who like to share their enthusiasm for British and European sports cars.

Asphalt Sisters: Blue Ridge Chapter are an Asheville, NC area all female motorcycle group. Their group includes all types/makes of motorcycle and skill levels. They are a no drama “no fuss-no muss” riding group. They welcome ALL FEMALE RIDERS from all walks of life, and all stages of life. Their goal is to bring together women who enjoy riding and want camaraderie on the road. They want everyone to feel welcome and part of the group. Aston Park Tennis Center
Aston Park Tennis Center is one of the finest public clay court facilities in the United States. There are 12 lighted clay courts designed and constructed of the Har Tru Fast Dry clay court material. The center is open to the public.
