North Carolina Arboretum

Volunteer Opportunities The North Carolina Arboretum has many volunteer opportunities which include interpretive guiding in the gardens, greenhouse and trails, grounds maintenance, assisting staff in areas such as nursery, bonsai and interior plantings, visitor services as well as clerical and library support. Directions and Contact Information The Arboretum is located on a beautiful 426-acre site southwest of Asheville. From I-26, take Exit 2, go south on NC Hwy 191 to right on Bent Creek Ranch Road. Bear left on Wesley Branch Road. The Arboretum entrance is one mile on the left. For more information, call 665-2492.

ParkingThe Arboretum has recently increased its personal vehicle parking fee to $14 in order to help sustain new and future upgrades and also create more job opportunities. Commercial vehicle parking is $50, bus parking is $100, and the first Tuesday of each month is half off personal vehicle parking.
