Series on North Carolina’s Energy Future

“Beyond Coal” is the first in a three part series that is focusing on transitioning Western North Carolina off its dependence on Duke Energy’s Asheville Coal plant & building a local clean energy economy. The speaker will be Kelly Martin of the NC Beyond Coal Campaign; and Kris Cunningham of Sierra Club answering questions on why nuclear power is not a replacement for coal.

“Climate Change and Home Energy Efficiency” with data from the NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center, speaker Jake Crouch; along with Amy Musser of Vandermusser Design, local home energy expert.
