Asheville Community Theatre’s Almost, Maine Concludes This Weekend

Warning: Information you find on this page may be outdated or incorrect.

On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. Performances continue at Asheville Community Theatre’s 35below through February 19th.

As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.

Whether you’re single or in a relationship, producer and director Reenie Lindblöm Dowd says you’ll be warmed by the charm and honesty of this show during the month of love—and you can even catch it on Valentine’s Day.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $15 per person. Please visit for additional information.

Asheville Community Theatre is located in historic downtown Asheville, North Carolina at 35 East Walnut Street one block northwest of City Hall. Neighbors of ACT are: The Thomas Wolfe Memorial and Visitors Center, the Renaissance Asheville Hotel, and Brasilia. Downtown Asheville is booming and parking can be difficult to find. However, there are several spaces adjacent to the theatre that are available on a first come, first served basis. The closest street parking is found on Spruce, Walnut and Market streets (meters run until 6:00 pm Monday-Saturday, but are free on Sundays). The closest parking garage is located on Biltmore Avenue, approximately 2 blocks from the theatre.
