Midday Music Break With Quartet Davis

Take a midday music break at Asheville Art Museum’s Gallery On the Slope on Friday, January 12th, at 12:00 pm. Admission is free!

The upcoming Midday Music Break features Quartet Davis, a genre-bending string quartet from Oberlin Conservatory dedicated to exploring a wide range of musical traditions. Unified in their commitment to pushing the boundaries of chamber music, the quartet embeds improvisation into original pieces and arrangements of traditional & contemporary works.

While each member comes from a different musical background, they ultimately integrate their fluency across a range of musical styles with a strong foundation in ensemble work. The quartet formed shortly before embarking on a U.S. Embassy-sponsored tour of Amman, Jordan in January 2017 where they performed with the Jordan Orchestra and taught lessons and workshops at local schools. Since then, their infectious enthusiasm and creativity has captivated audiences from living rooms to concert halls.
