St. Vincent Returns to Asheville on Feb. 15th

St. Vincent continues her Fear The Future Tour at Asheville’s Thomas Wolfe Auditorium on February 15th at 8:00 pm.

Annie Clark, also known as St. Vincent, is an icon worth believing in. With a deep interest in the interconnectedness of humanity, her work nevertheless inspires contemplation of the cracks between us. She explores emotive ballads, upbeat pop arrangements and experimental spaces alike, incorporating postmodern guitar solos and electronic pulses that display a sweetly sinister sensibility.

MASSEDUCTION, her recent album, is a bold, emotional reckoning largely themed around power. Or as Clark specifies, “All the forces that can swallow you whole… Every record I make has an archetype,” says Annie. “Strange Mercy was Housewives on Pills. St. Vincent was Near-Future Cult Leader. MASSEDUCTION is different. You can’t fact-check it, it’s not a diary entry, but if you want to know about my life, listen to this record.”
