The 5th annual Asheville Food Truck Showdown, sponsored by Ingles Markets, will take place on Saturday, March 24th, between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm at the WNC Ag. Center.
Admission to the event is free.
After last year’s amazing success, organizers are adding 7 additional food trucks for a total of 24 food trucks which will participate in the Showdown. In addition to Showdown, there will be 5 live bands, fun activities for the kids including a rock climbing wall and bounce houses, the chance to support local charities including Manna Food Bank & Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, a local Artisan Expo, and the Ultimate Air Dogs.
Due to the popularity of last year’s VIP Tasting Experience, this year we are offering even more ticket availability. The VIP Tasting Experience provides participants the ability to sample food from 12 trucks, dessert from Mr. Bob’s Donuts, 2 beverages of choice (including adult beverages), 1 Tyvek Bracelet to use during the event to purchase additional adult beverages throughout the day, and the exclusive opportunity to determine the winner of the VIP Tasters’ Choice Award.
Food trucks will compete to take home the trophies in three categories: The Best Overall, People’s Choice, and VIP Tasters’ Choice. This year’s panel of judges for The Best Overall Food Truck will be Mark Rounds (self-proclaimed average Joe and foodie), Stu Helm (local artist, writer, and podcaster), and Felix Meana (Heirloom Hospitality Group).
