Asheville Tourists Announce Promotions for 2018 Season

The Asheville Tourists have announced the promotions scheduled for the 2018 baseball season. In addition to daily promotions, the Tourists will feature unique giveaways and theme nights throughout the year.

The first weekend series in May begins with a Tourists T-shirt giveaway, presented by Blossman Gas, on Friday, May 11th. The following day, May 12th, the ZOOperstars! will perform in-game entertainment that connects with fans of all ages delivering memorable performances between innings.

On May 24th, the Asheville Tourists will once again transform into the Beer City Tourists. That night the Beer City Tourists will wear customized Beer City uniforms and caps. The Asheville Hippies also make a return to McCormick Field on July 19th. Asheville players will wear customized Hippies uniforms as they take on the professional baseball team from Greenville.

June 16th marks the 30th anniversary of the release of the award-winning baseball film Bull Durham. In the movie, Crash Davis breaks the Minor League Home Run record at McCormick Field as a member of the Asheville Tourists. In celebration of this anniversary, the Tourists will wear the uniforms featured in the movie on June 16th. Also, the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a Crash Davis bobblehead, presented by Harry’s on the Hill.

Individual game tickets are now on sale. Tickets start at $7.50 for adults and $5.50 for kids 6-12, seniors, and military. Tickets for July 4th will go on sale at a later date. The 2018 season will include the following promotions:

  • 10 Thirsty Thursdays, presented by Catawba Brewing and 105.9 the Mountain.
  • 11 Dollar Dog Fridays, presented by Blossman Gas and Mix 96.5.
  • 11 Saturday giveaway games, including eight that feature Tourists replica jerseys.
  • Kids Eat Free Mondays, presented by Acropolis Pizza.
  • Tuesdays that feature BOGO general admission tickets with your Ingles Advantage Card and Seniors Eat Free, presented by Haywood Regional Medical Center.
  • Goodwill Wednesdays where donations of three new or gently used clothing items are good for one general admission ticket.
    Ingles Sunday Fun Days that feature Post-Game Autographs and Kids Run the Bases.
  • Two Doggies at the Diamond Nights; May 22 and August 20, presented by Patton Avenue Pet Company
  • 11 Fireworks Nights including three special shows on Memorial Day weekend, Labor Day weekend, and July 4th.
