Weaverville’s Music on Main on June 23rd

The Weaverville Business Association is hosting the second annual Music on Main, a one-night, open-air concert on Main Street in Weaverville, featuring Kat Wright, Jesse Barry, and Lyric.

The event takes place in front of Town Hall (30 South Main Street, Weaverville, NC 28787) from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm Saturday, June 23, 2018. The event is free and open to the public.

Vermont-based Kat Wright has been described as “a young Bonnie Raitt meets Amy Winehouse.” Add to that voice enough stage presence to tame lions, and the combination of feline femininity proves immediately enchanting. Some of soul music’s sweet, grand dames belt, shout, seethe, and succumb, while Wright sings gently like a heartache’s apology. It’s funky in spots and beautiful all over, thanks to the backing provided by her Indomitable Soul Band. And it hurts a little… like it should.
