2018 Downtown After 5

Downtown After 5 is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year! The concert series takes place on North Lexington Avenue every 3rd Friday between May and September.

Produced by the Asheville Downtown Association, Downtown After 5 is free and features great music, local and regional brews, a kids area, and food from local vendors. The events take place every third Friday of the months May through September from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Beer and wine is available for purchase with a variety of local and regional options. To purchase alcohol, attendees will need to show a valid picture ID and buy a $2 wristband. The ADA has given more than $100,000 to area nonprofits through this program. 2018 partners include: Asheville Youth Villages (May), Girls on the Run (June), Big Brothers Big Sisters of WNC (July) and Guardian Ad Litem of Buncombe County (August) and Asheville Museum of Science (September).

There will be lots of local beers on tap including: Pisgah Brewing, Sierra Nevada, Hi-Wire Brewing, Asheville Brewing Company, Catawba Brewing, Green Man Brewery and Bold Rock Cider. Plus local-adjacent: Appalachian Mountain Brewing, Boojum Brewing, Lo-Fi Brewing, Nantahala Brewing Company and Natty Greene’s Brewing. Beer list subject to change.

Several food vendors will serve up plenty of local yumminess: D.O.G.S., Gypsy Queen Cuisine, Kernel Mike’s Kettle Corn, Moe’s Original BBQ, The Grubbery Food Truck and Sunshine Sammies.
