Upcoming Town Hall to Feature Candidates for N.C. House and Senate

Indivisible Asheville/WNC will host a town hall for local candidates for the North Carolina State House and Senate at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at the Wesley Grant Southside Center, 285 Livingston Street, Asheville. All are welcome to attend this free event.

For State Senate, David Wheeler (D, District 47), Norm Bossert (D, District 48), Terry Van Duyn (D, District 49, Incumbent) and Mark Crawford (R, District 49) will attend.

For the State House of Representatives, Susan Fisher (D, District 114, Incumbent), John Ager (D, District 115, Incumbent), Amy Evans (R, District 115) and Brian Turner (D, District 116, Incumbent) will attend.

“This is our biggest town hall yet, and it’s a really important one, especially now that we’re so close to the midterm election on November 6,” said Bill Rowan of Indivisible Asheville/WNC. “We’ve invited all the local candidates for the State House and Senate to attend, so this is our chance to ask important questions of the people who want to represent us.”

The town hall will begin with a moderated question-and-answer forum, and will then invite questions from the audience.
