Shop and Dine for Equality at Asheville Businesses on Dec. 11

Thirty-two Asheville-area businesses will participate in Shop for Equality on Tuesday, Dec. 11, a day of giving to benefit the Campaign for Southern Equality (CSE).

CSE is an Asheville-based nonprofit that promotes full LGBTQ equality across the South. “The Campaign for Southern Equality is an amazing organization and I am so thankful for the work they have done and continue to do for our community. I am beyond excited for us to host the ‘Sip For Equality After Party’ at MG Road!” says Lexy Durst, General Manager of MG Road.

Now in its second year, Shop for Equality is a daylong event that highlights local LGBTQ-friendly businesses and raises funds for CSE’s work. Many of Asheville’s most beloved shops and restaurants are participating by donating at least five percent of sales to CSE on Tuesday, Dec. 11:

From 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Dec. 11, the Campaign for Southern Equality also invites folks to gather at the MG Road Bar & Lounge for “Sip for Equality Happy Hour” to celebrate the day. All are welcome at this free event.
