Asheville Celtic Fest is This Saturday

The Asheville Celtic Festival, an indoor festival bringing the Celtic Spirit of the Seven Nations to the Blue Ridge Mountains, will be held at the WNC Agricultural Center on Saturday, February 15.

The festival will feature live Celtic music, live armored sword fighting, Celtic foods, crafts and artisans, period dress characters, Celtic dog breeds, Celtic ales and whiskey, genealogy research, a kids area, and more!

Musical entertainment will feature SYR, a Celtic Folk Rock band; the Knoxville Pipes and Drums band; Albannach, a pipes and drum band with a special punch; and The Muckers, a five-piece folk-rock band from Atlanta.

Food vendors will offer traditional foods like Scottish haggis, shepherd’s pie, Isle of Mull Farmhouse Cheese, sticky toffee, Welsh miner’s cakes, and other Celtic treats. There will also be plenty of ales and stouts available!

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door and are available at the festival website at ashevillecelticfest.com.
