Four Seasons Hospice Home Store Expands Into Buncombe County

Since 2006, Hendersonville’s Main Street has been home to the Four Seasons Hospice Home Store, a well-known high-end resale shop supported by community donations.

Now, Four Seasons is excited to announce that it will expand its Home Store operations into Buncombe County beginning May 19. Located at 21 Long Shoals Rd in Arden, this new Home Store provides 8,500 square feet of shopping space and will accept donations on site.

Retail Director and General Manager, Bobby Bennett, explains that “by opening up a store in Buncombe County, Four Seasons will have increased presence in the region, aligning with Four Seasons clinical operations in Buncombe County. We look forward to further serving the community in which we live and serve.”

In recent years, the Home Store on Main Street Hendersonville has seen exponential growth, doubling its revenue in 4 years. There has been an  increase in customer traffic, repeat customers, repeat donors, community pickups, and much more. In fact, the store has grown so much within the community that it was presented the Best Furniture award in 2019 by Best of Blue Ridge.

Despite facing challenges in the COVID-19 environment, Paige Wheeler, Executive Director of Four Seasons Foundation, says, “it is so important that both Home Stores open as their operations directly impact how many patients Four Seasons can provide care for that are under or un-insured and unable to pay. Four Seasons is committed to never turning away a patient because of an inability to pay and the revenue created by our Home Stores makes up a significant portion of the financial support needed to best serve patients. We are thrilled to offer the opportunity of a Buncombe County Home Store and look forward to meeting our new customers and donors in the area!”
