Drivers Heading Into Asheville Along I-26 West to Benefit from New Concrete Surface

Drivers heading into Asheville along Interstate 26 West will now benefit from a new concrete surface near Brevard Road.

A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation recently set new concrete as part of a project to improve the I-26/Brevard Road interchange.

Crews are on track to complete the $47.4 million project in December. The project includes new lanes for I-26, a new bridge on Brevard Road over the interstate, new on-ramps to I-26 and new exit ramps from the interstate.
