UNC Asheville to Host Book Launch Event with New York Times Bestselling Author Wiley Cash

New York Times bestselling author and UNC Asheville Alum Writer-in-Residence Wiley Cash will celebrate the publication of his newest novel, When Ghosts Come Home, on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 7:00 pm in the Sherrill Center, Kimmel Arena with a book signing to follow on the Arby’s Scholarship Deck.

The evening will feature music and conversation by Graham Sharp of the Grammy Award-winning Steep Canyon Rangers. Books will be available for purchase at the event from Malaprop’s Bookstore and Cafe.

Masks are required of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Capacity is limited to 300 attendees to allow for social distancing.

2021 Visiting Writers Series

This is the second of four events in the 2021 Visiting Writers Series presented by the UNC Asheville English Department. Additional events include A Literary Reading by poet Diamond Forde, the English Department’s University Fellow for Faculty Diversity on September 9; The Katherine Min Memorial Reading with UNC Asheville Alumnus Mason Currey ’02 on October 6; and, A Reading and Talk by Japanese American Poet Lee Ann Roripaugh on October 27.
