Warrior Canine Connection Holding Meet and Greet at Veterans Healing Farm on June 29th

The Asheville-based site of the national veteran service dog training organization, Warrior Canine Connection (WCC), is holding a meet and greet at the Veterans Healing Farm (VHF), June 29, from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

This info session will give attendees a better understanding of the positive power of the human and animal bond and how they can join this program to help veterans heal through animal-assisted therapy. Warrior Canine Connection enlists recovering Warriors in a therapeutic mission of learning to train service dogs for their fellow veterans.

Mission Based Trauma Recovery (MBTR) is a unique, no-fail mission that enlists veterans to help train service dogs for other veterans in need. MBTR benefits the veteran trainers as much as it does the dog and their future “Forever Veteran.” Come learn about Warrior Canine Connection, meet the service dogs in training, and see the program in action. Wounded Warrior Project Alumni are encouraged to attend.
