Asheville Community Theatre (ACT) is excited to kick off its “Magic & Mystery” season with Pippin – running September 15 through October 8, 2023.
Step into a circus-inspired world of magic, mystery, and self-discovery with this Tony Award-winning musical. Pippin revolutionized Broadway with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and book by Roger O. Hirson. The musical follows a young prince on a daring quest for the ultimate meaning of life and fulfillment. With its rich allegorical storyline and memorable melodies, Pippin promises to enchant audiences; leaving them musing long after the final curtain call.
Asheville Community Theatre’s Artistic Director, Bob White, is excited to ringlead this production as Director. We also have Kristen Johnson Dominguez as marvelous Music Director, Coco Dolce Palmer as our tumbling, spinning, Choreographer, Ida as Costumer, Jill Summers as Set Designer, and Nicki LaRue as Hair and Makeup.
“Pippin is the perfect opening to a season we curated specifically to explore magic and mystery!” said Bob White, Director of Pippin. “We are working with our pals from Asheville Aerial Arts and a troupe of fearless performers, designers and technicians to create something truly beautiful and dazzling for audiences.”
