The Asheville Art Museum is delighted to announce the Eighth Asheville Wine Auction + Gala Dinner: Asheville Art Museum, Gets Better with Age, to be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 6:00 pm at the Museum. Guests are invited to join us for an enchanting evening in the Museum's exciting new Art works PRIMED space, which will be transformed for this special occasion into an elegant venue for 200 guests. Tickets are $125 per person ($45 tax deductible) and can be purchased at the Museum's front desk or over the phone at 828.253.3227.An auctioneer will lead the evening's bidding with lots ranging from a diverse selection of vintages to luxury travel packages and beyond. Guests will also enjoy fine dining and an excellent selection of wine during this memorable black-tie affair. The Museum's previous Wine Galas have been exceptional successes, bringing together arts patrons for an enchanting evening, while generating critical support for the Museum's dynamic exhibitions and educational programs for audiences of all ages. The Asheville Art Museum is the only nonprofit visual arts museum serving the 24 counties of Western North Carolina. Incorporated by artists in 1948, the Museum collects, preserves and interprets American art of the 20th and 21st centuries with a focus on work of significance to the Southeast. The Asheville Art Museum is accredited by the American Association of Museums and receives general operating support from businesses, foundations and individuals, as well as from the North Carolina Arts Council, an agency funded by the State of North Carolina, and the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art.
