Over 1,000 volunteers are needed to help build the playground from the ground up in a five-day building blitz. Volunteers are needed to hammer, saw, paint, dig, rake, help with childcare, staff the volunteer tent and work in the camp kitchen. Three volunteer shifts are available daily at 8 AM � 12 PM, 12:30 � 5 PM, and 5:30 � 9 PM. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt and be well fed while on duty.

Childcare is available to volunteers with kids under 12.

To reach the park building site, directions follow:
From Swannanoa River Road - East on Swannanoa River Rd. � pass the Buncombe County Golf Course on the left - turn right on Gashes Creek Rd. and continue straight onto Azalea Rd. - See the build site on the right marked with a sign and large tents.

From Tunnel Road /Hwy. 70
West on Tunnel Rd. � pass the Poseidon Restaurant on the right � turn at the next left on Azalea Rd. - see the build site on the left marked with a sign and large tents.
