The world�s best mountain film festival will deliver big screen adventure to audiences when the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour returns to Brevard College�s Porter Center for Performing Arts March 16-17. Tickets go on sale Feb. 15 and will be available for purchase at Nali Outdoor Wear in Brevard or at Mast General Store in asheville and Asheville until March 15. Advance tickets are $12 per person. Tickets will cost $15 per person at the door. The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is produced by Mountain Culture at The Banff Centre, and features award-winning films and audience favorites from approximately 300 films entered in the annual festival in Banff Alberta, Canada. This year�s Tour features a collection of the most inspiring and thought provoking cultural, environmental, and adventure mountain films from the Festival. The films cover subjects such as cycling across Asia from Mongolia to Calcutta; navigating the Mekong River from its source in Tibet to the South China Sea; free climbing the world�s hardest traditional climb, Cobra Crack; pursuing a �man-eating� tiger; observing the habits of the rare and elusive �fire cat� or red panda; and �surfing� snow covered mountains. The line up of films to be presented on the Tour�s stop at Brevard College will be announced soon. This year�s film festival at Brevard College is sponsored by Brevard College�s Outing Club, WNCW 88.7; Mast General Store; Nali Outdoor Wear; Mountain Xpress; Green River Adventures, Pura Vida Adventures, and Brevard Orthopedic.
