Bellagio Everyday Women’s Boutique Opens in Downtown Asheville

Owner John Cram and Matt Chambers have opened Bellagio Everyday, a women’s boutique offering apparel and accessories at 40 Biltmore Avenue, next door to Blue Spiral 1 gallery in Downtown Asheville.

“We offer quality merchandise that’s versatile, innovative and affordable,” said Chambers, Bellagio Everyday Director. “Bellagio Everyday’s name says it all in terms of both artistry and affordability.”

Cram, who also owns New Morning Gallery and Bellagio Art-to-Wear in Biltmore Village and the Fine Arts Theater and Blue Spiral 1 gallery on Biltmore Avenue, described the differences between the two Bellagio stores this way: “At Bellagio Everyday it’s more about structure than surface design. Its inventory celebrates great design, sometimes finding treasures abroad, all with the eye to price and fun. On the other hand, Bellagio Art-to-Wear deals nearly exclusively with clothing made in America, which is a rarity these days. In addition, the sculptural and craft objects give Bellagio a defining twist that separates it from other art to wear boutiques.” Cram said.

Bellagio Everyday offers comfortable, wearable garments from top line designers including Babette, Courtney Washington, Kinross, Maralyce Ferree, Tuzzi and Pulli. Prices range from under $100 to $400 per garment. Accessories include offerings from Karen Wilson, Tutela and Cleo & Patek.

Cram and architect Jim Samsel collaborated on the interior design. “With Bellagio Everyday, we wanted to create a calm, elegant retail retreat from the city life outside. We designed a curved interior perimeter of vertical-grain bamboo and diffuse lighting to provide an inviting feminine feel and glow that draws patrons into the space, Samsel said. “We want those who shop here to experience a beautiful backdrop for the unique contemporary women’s fashion that is the main attraction. Both renewable and high-performance products are utilized throughout the shop to enhance its performance and reduce its environmental impact.”

“The simplicity and clean lines of the space compliment the clothing being offered there,” Cram said.
